I have never been the one to wait up all hours in the morning waiting for Kylie Cosmetics to release her Kylie Lip Kits. For one reason the website is mayhem and the second reason being I wasn't too sure if it was worth it to be honest! I have always just stuck to what I love and that is Jeffree Stars velour lipsticks. But when I saw that Kylie had released a collabortation with Khloe I was excited. So lets get into the review.
Packaging for me is a huge deal! I love when brands come out with new products and the packaging itself makes you fall in love with the product. In this collection the lip kits come in a white sleeve with "Koko Collection by Kylie Cosmetics" on the front written in rose gold. I thought this was such classy, simple yet gorgeous packaging. When you slide the sleeve out the box contains 4 lip kits. These lipkits are also rose gold like the packaging and this is what immediately made me love them!
In this kit you are getting 4 full sized lipsticks. 3 liquid lipsticks and one gloss. This retails for $40 USD I personally paid $110 NZD to get this bad boy! Which is still not bad considering each liquid lipstick would have retailed for around $30 USD each!
Now getting into the formula. These liquid lips dry so fast! In just under a minute these lipsticks are bulletproof! The cons I do have are that they can tend to make my lips feel a bit dry but I'm sure if you apply lip balm before applying the lipstick then that may solve that problem. I personally haven't tried it yet cause I'm stupid and forget.
Khloe$- This shade out of the collection is for sure the most wearable. Its your perfect everyday nude. I love these types of shades because you can pair it with any eye look and it looks gorgeous.
Okurr- This shade from the collection is my favorite. Its definitely the most fun out of all of the colors. I would describe this color as a watermelon/ strawberry color. Its super bright and such a gorgeous color.
Gorg- This shade is a deep burgundy maroon color and is a gorgeous color hense the name ;) however this is definitely my least favorite from the collection sadly even though these types of dark colors are usually what I reach for. The reason this is my least favorite is because the formula is super patchy. And because they dry so quickly I find it a little hard to build up the color without it feeling too think.
Damn Gina- This is the only gloss out of this collection and usually I am not a gloss fan. This gloss has stunning shimmers throughout it. Normally I stick to mattes and that is it. But I love how this gloss isn't sticky at all. It also goes on nice and thin which I love also.
What do you guys think about this collection?
xx
